While the cooler is excellent, it is quite heavy and will tip over if not anchored down. Definitely get the tie down kit.
I got the white kula for my boyfriend for his birthday. Since he already had a bote board he was really wanting one of these. He has already used it twice on his HD paddle board and loves it. The only downside so far is the weight. For me, it seems a bit heavy when it is full of ice and drinks. When you pick one up you will know what I mean. This cooler is solid and obviously built to last it is just a bit heavy.
Hannah, We're glad you and your boyfriend are getting outside and enjoying your new cooler. You're right, the KULA is a solid product that is built to last. In fact the KULA company boasts a 5 year warranty on their products. Since the cooler is a bit heavy for you we would recommend grabbing a carry strap. The kula carry strap snaps onto the kula and allows for easy mobility. Here is the link if you want to buy one online or stop in store in pick you up. You will notice that the KULA is much easier to carry when you use the shoulder strap. https://l2outside.com/collections/acessories/products/travelink-sling
